Therapist for Veterans
Veterans and Service Members
I have taken a special interest in working with members of the Armed Forces and veterans. It is a value of mine to work with this population that has made so many sacrifices for this country. I have received additional training in working with members of the Armed Forces specifically. Furthermore, I have completed trainings in PTSD (Post traumatic stress disorder) and TBI (traumatic brain injury), as well as other anxiety, sleep disorders, and mental health conditions.
If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, nightmares, flashbacks, relationships, stress, substance abuse, difficulty adjusting to life at home, or other issues, you don’t have to suffer alone. I use only evidence-based CBT and ACT therapeutic approaches to help you learn to cope with these issues more effectively. It is my mission to help you start living the life you want again.
Key Components of Treatment include:
- Talking through issues at your own pace
- Learning tools to manage your thoughts and emotions more effectively
- Identifying behavioral patterns and places to make changes
- Setting goals that are consistent with your values
- Getting support and validation when addressing painful topics
TriCare and ChampVA
While I whole-heartedly support the VA, I understand the limitations of the services they can provide. Therefore, if you or a loved one are a service member or veteran and looking for care in a private practice setting, please contact me today to see if I would be a good fit for working with you. I am credentialed with both TriCare and ChampVA insurance companies, thereby allowing veterans, service members, and their family members to be seen at little to no out-of-pocket cost.
